Control Channel Modeling for MAC Protocol in Cognitive Radio Network

To address the control channel saturation problem of Cognitive Radio Network Medium Access Control(CRN-MAC) protocol,a modeling scheme for control channel is proposed.The concept of Control Channel Threshold(CCT) is introduced,and according to the time constraints of superframe,control subframe and data subframe,a CCT model with computational equation is presented.The theoretical throughput of Control-Channel-based MAC(CCMAC) protocol is evaluated on the basis of the proposed model.Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the model,and the network throughput is analyzed while changing parameters of the CCMAC protocol.
