The Analysis of ATM Switches with Multiple Input Queues Models and PIM Algorithm

The ATM switching fabrics and input queue models are presented in this paper. A approaches is proposed to reduce the HOL blocking associated with FIFO input queue by adopting parallel iterative matching(PIM) algorithm in the nonblocking ATM with multiple input queues. Brief analyze has been made for switch model based on PIM scheduling and its performance.
