Application of Industrial Ethernet to Communication of SIMATIC PLC and the Server

To communicate between PLC and the server,the characteristics of different kinds of SIMATIC S7 PLC subnet,such as MPI,Profibus,and Industrial Ethernet,are analysed and compared.Combining the application of HAGC PLC in plate workshop of Hebei Wenfeng Corporation,Industrial Ethernet is chosen for communication.From the hardware configuration of SIMATIC S7-400 PLC and the sever,the link of Industrial Ethernet and the use of STEP7 programming,how to build the communication between SIMATIC S7-400 PLC and the sever is particularized.The actual results show data communication through Industrial Ethernet is true,fast and steady,particularly for mass data.Communication effectiveness is better.
