To Improve the Efficiency of Database Access by MMDAO

Zhou Zhong · Journal of Sichuan University · 2002

The authors apply the core thought of main memory database to traditional disk resident database on mainstream PCs. This technique is called memory dada access object, i.e. MMDAO. The interface between applications and database is complemented in RAM, which makes the search and access of database be realized in RAM. And thus there is no disk data I/O during the execution of database access. The higher system performance is obtained this way.
