Intra Prediction Optimization of H. 264/AVC Decoder

An optimized structure for intra prediction is proposed in this paper. Two optimization methods are adopted in this structure:one is redundant data on SRAM is abandoned,and according to the features of loop-filer in H. 264/AVC decoder,another optimization is prediction models are pre-judged and stored. This two methods reduce the need of on-chip memory and the access cost. Experimental results show that the performance is improved by 10%.
