Method of Tower Grounding Resistance Measurement

This article introduces the importance of tower grounding resistance measurement,the concepts of grounding system and contact resistance,conventional measurement methods and brief principle,as well as their advantage and disadvantage.The new grounding resistance measurement methods based on their advantage are analysed and several methods of grounding resistance over-standard are proposed in this article.Electrical wire tower should be reliable grounding to ensure thunder flows down to the ground and insulation protection.In order to enhance lightning withstanding level to protect equipment insulation and avoid person injure for step voltage,the tower grounding resistance should be reduced.
