Design of a new Over-Current Comparator

A PFM over-current comparator which has been successfully applied to the chip of Step-Down regulator is presented. During light loads, the PFM over-current comparator switches the regulator to idle mode, therefore, the battery life will be extended and efficiency of the Step-Down regulator is greatly improved.
