Performance of Moment Estimator for Weibull Distribution with Type I Censoring

This paper studied the performance of the moment estimator for the Weibull distribution with Type I censoring by the MonteCarlo method.The result of simulation shows that the moment estimator,in the calculation accuracy,is as good as the maximum likelihood estimator,but the calculation of the moment estimator is easier than that of the maximum likelihood estimator.A case of estimating the reliability of the bearing for gyroscope rotors is given to verify the dependability of the proposed method.
