The research of parallel file system(PFS) in the cluster computing system is a hot topic currently.The research done on parallel file system applied in cluster is very important for the high performance,high availability and scalability.The summarization research about PFS is done firstly.Then the state of research and development about PFS is expounded and some questions in the research of PFS analysed.Finally,the general direction of future evolution about PFS on cluster is forecasted.
