On Diagnosis of Abrasion of Diesel Cylinder Cover

The vibration signal of diesel engine body can b e obtained by experiment for various diesel cylinder cover which had different a brasion degree. Energy in wavelet packet, the maximum amplitude of the vibration signal was calculated. AR and ARMA models of vibration signal were built. Genet ic algorithm was used to auto-breed the best characteristic parameters. Finally , the best fault diagnosis function is obtained. The results show that it is fea sible and effective to diagnose cylinder cover abrasion fault by using GA algori thm with calculating abrasion degree.
