Design and Implementation of a hash Algorithm that Applies to URL Index in Search Engine

Because of the disadvantage of URL index in search engine by MD5, designs and carries out a hash function for the appliation of URL index in search engine. Compared with MD5, this algorithm is better on URL index due to the shorter hash code, and the algorithm can make full use of hash range space which is available.
