Effect of Natural Low Temperature Acclimation and Stress on Membrane Damage and SOD Activity of White Clover

Fan Yu-zhen · Hubei nongye kexue · 2010

The MDA content, electric conductivity,SOD activity in leaves and roots of white clover (Trifolum repnes Linn) were studied under low temperature stress. The results indicated that, with the stress of the lower temperature, both the content of MDA and electric conductivity in general showed a clear increasing trend, the value and increasing speed of the leaves were larger and more fast than those of the roots.SOD activity in roots continued to rise;SOD activity in leaves was increased first, then decreased. The cold resistance of the roots was stronger than that of the leaves.
