Adaptive algorithm of motion estimation based on H.264

In the estimation of the multi-macro module in H.264,it′s computational burden is unaccepectable and can not meet the demand in realtime application,so an adaptive search algorithm of motion estimation is proposed.More accurate motion estimation point and more appropriate searching fields can be predicted by using the correlations between one block and others and median prediction.An experimental result verified that,the proposed method can reduce the complexity for motion estimation greatly and the capability of encoding has no loss basically.
