A study on a fast detection and parameter estimation algorithm of LFM signals

A fast detection algorithm of the LFM signals based on the RAT is discussed.According to the characteristics of the energy distribution of the ambiguity function of the LFM signals,the dichotomy is adopted to fast approach the center of the energy distribution area,and then the small-scale high-precision search is done to accurately estimate the chirp rate.The simulation results show that the algorithm can greatly reduce the amount of computation and significantly improve the real-time detection and processing speed of the LFM signals under the condition that the effective detection performance be maintained.
