Development and Application of OCI-based GIS Database

The application of oracle spatial in spatial database is convenient for database management and maintenance.As a typical application of spatial database,GIS improves effectiveness of database system and has a favorable prospect in application.The performance of GIS database is analyzed by apractical example,the mechanism of OCI interface program for GIS database and the development tendency of GIS database are proposed.
