THE APPLICATION OF GENETIC ALGORITHM IN THE CRYPTANALYSIS

HU Jin-son · Microcomputer Information · 2009

Genetic Algorithm is one of the Evolution Algorithm and has been widely used in automatic control, combinatorial optimization, artificial intelligence and many other fields. Non-linear combining stream cipher is an important Key Stream Generator and is widely used in data encryption and spread spectrum communication, which design and analysis has been a sequence of stream cipher on an important direction. This paper describes an application of Genetic Algorithm in the cryptanalysis to the binary nonlinear combining stream cipher which can effectively reduce the conditions of the cryptanalysis and computational complexity. The proposed adaptive adjustment formula also increases the adaptive genetic algorithm convergence.
