An ESPRIT Algorithm for DOA Estimation in TD-SCDMA

Smart antenna is the key technology in TD-SCDMA system and its core context is DOA estimation and beam forming. Nowadays,a series of algorithms are based on uniform linear arrays,while the smart antenna of TD-SCDMA is a uniform circular array with 8 elements. In this paper,a virtual uniform linear array is derived by preprocessing so that ESPRIT algorithm can be used to estimate the DOAs. Simulation results have verified the availability of the algorithm.
