Rapid floating-point division algorithm and its implementation on MCS-51 series single chip computer

A rapid floating-point division algorithm on Single Chip Computer is proposed. With stored temporary product of divisor with, 2~0,2~(-1),2~(-2),..., it can reduce the number of shifting in the process of division, and speed up the division. The experimental result shows that the method is easy and effective.
