In this paper, an effective medical micro-optical image matching algorithm based on relativity is described. The algorithm presented in this paper includes the following steps : Firstly , selecting a sub-area that has obvious characteristics in one of the two images as a standard image; Secondly, finding the right matching position in the other image ; Thirdly, applying coordinate transformation to merge the two images together. As a kind of application of image matching in medical micro-optical image, this method can overcome the difficulty to observe the whole object in one view due to the small visual field of microsope. So it makes the measurement of a big object more easy. Simultaneously this methord implements the adaptive selection of standard image, and its matching speed and result can meet the practical requirements.
