Pre-heating Characteristics in Wood Vacuum-Superheat Steam Drying

Wood drying experiments were made under vacuum conditions using a pre heating stage of either superheated steam or air as a drying medium. The results indicated that the wood vacuum superheat steam drying preheating stage dried the wood more quickly;meanwhile, the quantity of condensed water on lumber surfaces was also more than that in vacuum air drying.
