A classification method of DNA sequence

Based on wavelet transform and correlation technique, a method to classify the DNA sequence is presented. First, transforming the DNA sequence into digital sequence, performing Mallat decomposition of sequence, then calculating the coefficient between the unknown sequence and the known one, the DNA sequence can be classified by means of the correlation coefficient. The classification results show that this method is practical and feasible.
