The relationship between attention shift and eye movements, and their impact on the maintenance stage and integration stage of visual information are explored with single-probe change-detection paradigm.Participants are undergraduates. The results are:(1) For the maintenance of location information, saccade has played a greater interference role than attention shift;for the maintenance of color information, whether or not long-distance saccade is implemented,as long as the attention shifts occurs, the maintenance of color information would be interfered.(2) For the integration of location information or color information, overt attention shift and saccade pointed to the remembering stimulus are all very necessary.However,long-distance saccade is interfered with the integration and storage during attention shifts, and color information is undisturbed. The findings supported the notion that in the process of integration and maintenance of location features and color features, attention shift and saccade are inconsistent, while there was still reciprocal relation between the two.
