Radio Network Planning and Simulation for TD-SCDMA

TD-SCDMA system is gradually constructed and enters into commercial use in China,so,radio network planning for this system has become more important.This paper emphatically analyses the influences of the new technologies,such as time division duplex plus multi-slot and smart antenna plus joint detection on the network planning of TD-SCDMA.And the characteristics of network planning are discussed form radio coverage planning and scrambling code planning.Then a detailed process of radio network planning is described.Finally,according to network simulation result,such key issues as the best server coverage,pilot intensity,pilot pollution,demodulation threshold and baton handover coverage are analyzed.
