System for Field Information Collection and Update Based on GSM and GPS

Field information real-time collecting and spatial database update are key techniques to be urgently solved in precise agriculture.In this paper,introduced design and realization of system for field information collection and synchronous update in spatial database based on global positioning system(GPS) and GSM,and then took field parcel for example,discussed the aspects of the system about working principals,system architecture and structures of hardware and software,software design and realization.Integrated GPS,GSM with GIS,the system realizes real-time collecting,distance-transmitting and timely update.
