A Novel Rapid Method for Estimation DOA in Presence of Spatially Nonstationary Noise Fields

A rapid direction of arrival algorithm under spatially nonstationary noise fields is presented. Through an estimation of the colored noise covariance matrix, the received data for DOA estimation is prewhitened using the estimation noise covariance, and the influence of nonstationary noise is overcome. Using linearity operation instead of eigendecomposition, the computational complexity can be reduced. Finally, the computer simulation confirms the validity of the algorithms.
