Research On Mail Information Extraction Based On Network Packages

To reject spam on the internet, mail information transmitted on the network should be captured in order to filter the spam properly. By analyzing two typical ways through which e- mails are transferred, this paper discussed some issues about mail informa- tion extraction, including capturing and reordering of the network packages, extracting of mail information based on SMTP/POP3 and HTTP. Practical application indicates that those mail information extraction techniques have certain practical value and founds a firm technology base for spam filtering.
