Practical experience for transformation and speed raise of fourdrinier paper machines

The transformation conditions of the head box and wire part of a 4500 fourdrinier paper machine were mainly introduced. The speed increased from 280~320m/min to 800~830m/min with the paper output raised from 130~150t/d to 350~380t/d. The main physical index of producing paper products was improved obviously. The consumption of electricity, coal, pulp and water were decreased. The structure of fourdrinier paper machines is suitable for producing fine paper, high strength corrugated medium and kraft paper.
