An Research of Non-Photorealistic Rendering Technology

Since 1990's,Non-photorealistic rendering have become one of the hot spots of the computer graphics research.In this paper we describe the research process in NPR.The differences between photorealistic and non-photorealistic rendering,classifications and applications are discussed as well.Furthermore some main rendering algorithms are introduced.Finally,the current research difficulties and the direction of future research are analysised.
