A Research of Image Sequence Mosaics Algorithm

To the questions that there is a great deal of computation in the processing of image mosaics from image sequence shot by panning digital camera and visible seam resulted from variance of image brightness between two images, according to the principle that the relationship between two adjacent image can be described by projective transformation, the paper presents an image mosaics method which applying Moravec operator to pick up feature points for projective transformation then mosaic two images. At the same time, in order to match brightness of one image to the other and eliminating the seams, the algorithm fetch in the histogram regulation. Experiments indicate that the algorithm avoids the processing time resulted from iterative computation, effectively eliminates the seams in overlapped regions and builds panoramic image mosaics seamlessly and smoothly.
