On Carl G. Hempel’s View of Science

Carl G. Hempel’s view of science is basis of logical empiricism and using symbolic logic as the method of scientific research. On this basis ,he deeply discussed the structure and function of science, the process of scientific form and the basis of scientific rationality and advancement which achieved the aim of farther improving on science and service for science. His view of science directed him to deeply and systematically logical research for important problem of science. All his work developed surrounding the research of scientific problem. He broadened the scope of view of empirical cognition and pointed out existing a turn in methodology from a semantic-ontological to an epistemically relativized construal of the goal of science. Logical empiricist criterion of cognitive significance had holism tendency. He tried to syncretize historical and logical empiricism view on scientific rationality.
