Analysis of the Distinctness Attributes of the Character on the Train Ticket

The distinctness of the text on the traffic ticket will be the basic requirement.The attribute indexes of the character on the face side and the back side of two kinds of traffic tickets,traditional paper ticket and new one with back magnetic coating(named as paper ticket and magnetic ticket respectively),were measured and analyzed.The contrast,line width and raggedness values of the horizontal and vertical lines were chosen to represent the stroke distinctness indexes,and the contrast was used as the character distinctness index.The experiments for the two kinds of train tickets on the market shown that,in case of the character on the face side,the two kinds of tickets have the similar stroke width and raggedness values,but the contrast of the paper ticket was higher than that of the magnetic paper,resulting in a paper ticket's higher text distinctness.So the darkness of the oil printed on the magnetic paper face side should be increased to improve its distinctness.And in case of the text on ticket's back side,the stroke and character on the paper ticket have the higher contrast and lower raggedness than the magnetic paper,but the line width of the latter was bigger than that of the former.On the whole,the characters on the back side of the paper ticket possess higher distinctness.Maybe,increasing the contrast and decreasing the raggedness were the effective procedures in order to improve the test distinctness on the back side of the magnetic ticket.
