Research and Design of SNMP Agent Based on Embedded Linux in EPON System
Dai Wen-hui · Computer Era · 2010
As a new technology of optical fiber access network, EPON (Ethernet Passive Optical Network) has developed rapidly. For the features of point to multipoint technology and complex management in EPON system, we have studied and designed embedded SNMP agent software, which uses SNMP protocol to provide a stable and effective network management system for EPON system, and uses embedded systems to satisfy the requirements of complex management in EPON systems. This design scheme of combining SNMP protocol and embedded system can greatly simplify the overall operation of the project and improve the performance of EPON system.
