Advance in Research of Traffic Anomaly Detection

Network attack, network fault and network virus often result in the anomaly of network traffic, and damage the network system. How to detect and eliminate the anomaly of network traffic is an important problem faced by traffic engineering. Traffic anomaly detection as the focus of the current network security research has attracted much attention. This paper analyzes the current stations of traffic anomaly detection, discusses the main challenge and the newest advance, and points out the new development on traffic anomaly detection.
