Adaptive congestion control algorithm in wireless multimedia networks

A congestion control scheme, adaptive media QoS and wireless bandwidth (adaptive-MQWB) was presented for multimedia traffic from the Internet. Satisfying the maximum delay of multimedia transfer, the adaptive-MQWB al-gorithm seeks an optimal active queue management scheme for the optimal target queue according to the dynamic vary-ing rate of current bandwidth. The simulation results show that the varying-time of adaptive wireless bandwidth and the QoS guaranteed in multimedia transfers delay with the adaptive-MQWB algorithm are superior to those of MADR algo-rithm and tuned-RED algorithm.
