his paper studied the application of GIS in mobile telecommunication network project designing with the development flat-form of MapInfo 7.0. It discussed some key techniques lying in the development, and introduced the main function of telecommunica-tion network project designing system based on GIS. By using GIS, the designing ways of telecommunication network project is varied and the designing level is improved.
