I.C.Engine Misfire Fault Diagnosis Based on Explosive Noise Signal

A new method is presented to diagnose the engine misfire by analyzed explosive noise in this paper. Firstly, the explosive noise signal is divided into many segments corresponding to engine's circulation that confirmed by analyzed pressure signal of oil inlet pipe. Secondly, resample technique is used to make that segments have identical length and align in time-domain. At last, contour map method is used to analyze the power area of segments signals. Practices prove that this method is good for diagnosing the engine misfire and finding the cylinders where the misfire occurs precisely.
