Analysis of methods to access XML-based fluid office documents

As it is hard to shield the difference in document formats and to reduce the technical complexity when accessing the documents,an in-depth research is made on the methods to access the XML-based fluid documents on the respects of their principles,implementations,and interoperability performance,e.g.document object model(DOM),XQuery,API/SDK,and open document query(ODQ).The result shows that ODQ has advantage in format independence,and can facilitate users to develop the documents processing systems with good interoperability.Moreover,ODQ makes it easy to design network protocols to implement remote document access,which lays the foundation for network oriented document application integration and document collaboration.
