Design of a direct digital frequency synthesizer based on CORDIC algorithm

Direct digital frequency synthesizer(DDS) is a newly developed technology for frequency synthesis.Coordinate Rotation Digital Computer(CORDIC) algorithm is suitable for realization of DDS.The normal algorithm of CORDIC and the basic construction of DDS are introduced.We put forward a pipelining style CORDIC approach,which is used in the design of Field Programmable Gate Array(FPGA).The simulation result by use of ModelSim is given in the end.
