Color Image Encryption Algorithm Based on Chaos

A new chaotic encryption algorithm of color images is presented based on the properties of chaotic sequences and inherent characteristics of color bit-level images.At first,the plain RGB color image is divided into 8 bit-level images respectively which are treated as a group.Next the bit-level image group is permutated using chaotic sequences generated by hyper-chaotic system.Then the image pixel-level diffusion is carried on using logistic chaotic sequences.Finally,experiments are carried out to justify the superior security and effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
