Software maintenance plays an important role in the total process of software development,but its cost is difficult to control.Bases on the analysis of the object-oriented metrics which can predict the maintenance performance of an object-oriented system and con-junct with thepractical situation,theirrelationshipand their disadvantages of the 3 metrics areanalyzed,meanwhile somenovel viewpoints are supplemented.
