Sparse Logistic Regression and Its Applications in Gene Selection

With respect to the small-sample and high-dimensional problem emerging in the microarray classification,a sparse logistic regression learning machine for gene selection and classification simultaneously was proposed in this paper.Combining the partly adaptive elastic net penalty and the log-likelihood loss function,an adaptive logistic regression was proposed,which proved that it can encourage an adaptive grouped effect in gene selection.
