Research on Performance-Availability Algorithms and its Implementation in Service Level Management

Along with Network and Network multi-media traffic's fast growth and Web traffic's widespread, which results in that web service must provide the fast service for users and satisfies the need of service reliability and availability. To improve the quality of web service, this paper presents a performance-availability algorithm in service level management. Algorithms that base network element's more status and period polling mechanism can calculate and forecast the performance-availability parameter of web service in terms of quality of service, loss-rate and throughout and so on. Then we use this algorithm to calculate the performance parameter and achieve numerical value in a web servers group.
