New time delay estimation method based on the fractional lower order moment

According to the characteristics of theα stable noise model,a novel time delay estimation method based on the least mean p-norm was proposed.The pth-order moment of error function was chosen as the optimum criteria.It re-moved the influence of impulsive noises on the estimated value.Theoretical analyses and computer simulations indicates that the new method is not only suitable for Gaussian noise conditions,but also very robust under the lower-order α sta-ble noise conditions.
