AIM: To build a knowledge base of osteoma comp ut er-assisted diagnostic expert system. METHODS: The hybrid knowle dge representation was studied with fuzzy theory and database technique based on our osteoma knowledge. RESULTS: The antitype of the knowledge b ase in accordance with diagnostic processes was built. CONCLUSION: A method of combining database techniques with the programming in logic in kn owledge representation has been successfully used in the establishment of osteom a computer-assisted diagnostic expert system.
