A method using stationary wavelet transform for reduction of truncation artifacts in MR imaging

How to to minimize the duration of magnetic resonance imaging is one of the most important task in the field of magnetic resonance imaging. In practice,a limited number of the phase-coded signals are often acquired in order to minimize the duration of the studies and maintain adequate signal-to-noise ratio.However, this results in truncation artifacts in magnetic resonance imaging. Stationary wavelet transform and the mask of image were used to reduce truncation artifacts, and the experimental results indicate that the proposed method is efficient and reliable.
