Theory and Application of the Multi-agent System

Distributed artificial intelligence and the prevalence of networks promote the development of agent theory and agent technology especially for MAS. Along with the advancement of computer science, MAS has been widely applied in many science areas. With the current research and deficiencies of the multi-agent system, a new research way of multi-agent system based on systems engineering was presented. Associated with engineering application, the characteristic, the framework of agent and multi-agent system, and one of the most popular communication language-KQML between agents were illustrated in detail. The applications of several representative application domains for multi-agent technology were also especially introduced. Finally, the foreground of application of the multi-agent system technology was analyzed and prospected.
