Testing methods of surge protective devices for the project defending lightning

Testing concerning surge protective devices of power supply can be classified.The testing methods request of some standard,and besides a lot of practical problem need to be solved.In the paper we analyzed the problem in SDP testing,surrounding leak electrical current of MOV resistance and discussed phenomenon in interrelated test.Then we studied problems of breakdown,flashover and combustion,and concluded the usually appearing problem to surge protective devices.
