Wavelet Transformation and the Application in Medical Image Processing

Because the quality of medical image affects diagnosis and therapy of doctor to state of an illness directly, medical image processing has become a hot spot. Wavelet analysis inherits and develops Fourier transform. It is widely applied in the domain of medical image. Based on image decomposition, this article introduces the general form of two dimensional discrete wavelet transformation and using frequency domain characteristics and multiresolution analysis to remove the noise in medical image and to effectively improve image quality.
