Speckle Noise Filtering on SAR Images with Anisotropic Diffusion
Shi Cheng-xia · Journal of Jiangsu Polytechnic University · 2004
Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) images are usually corrupted by speckle noise. A method that uses the anisotropic diffusion to suppress the speckle noise in Synthetic Aperture Radar images is pres- ented. The diffuse coefficients are selected so that the edge information and local detail in images can be well preserved. And this method is compared with the wavelets filter. The numerical results of the appli- cation to SAR images demonstrate the good performance of anisotropic diffusion filtering.
