Study on geogrid adhesive with ethyl acrylat(eEA) as soft monomer

A low cost,environment-friendly and waterborne styrene-acrylate emulsion adhesive for fiberglass geogrid was prepared by monomer pre-emulsified and emulsion polymerization method,with ethyl acrylate(EA) as copolymerization monomer.The influence of EA,A-171 and NMA were discussed on the emulsion performance.The inner link of glass transition temperature(Tg) and coating performance was presented.The experiment results showed that EA as soft monomer could be used for the preparation of fiberglass geogrid adhesive.The optimum dosage of organo-siloxane and NMA were 0.6%-0.7% and 0.9%-1.0% of total monomer mass respectively.According to the differences of Tg,the products were divided into three types as soft(from -22℃ to-15℃),medium(from -5℃ to 5℃),hard(from 15℃ to 25℃).In order to get a better processing effect,the different type can bemixed to use at necessary.
